Make and Take Classes - 

Students will take home a wildlife animal painting.  This is a step by step, watch and repeat instructional format. 

 

Limited to 2 students.  Adults only please.  Restricted to Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursday.  First come first served.

 

Class format:

Students complete the painting in 2 stages.  

Part 1 - Prep and Value Study Class:  Students prepare the canvas, sketch the subject using patterns, and use black and white acrylics to complete a value study of the animal.  Expect 3 hours but can vary.

Part 2 - Oil Overglaze Class:  Students use oils to color the animal and create a background.  Varies but expect 3 hours.

Materials:

I provide brushes, paint, medium and all other equipment.

You bring an 18x24 stretched canvas, paper towels, baby wipes, snack or bagged lunch, and a 'can do' attitude.  Wear old clothes because you may get paint on them.  Canvas available at Micheals, Hobby Lobby or other art stores.

 

Cost:   

Total painting time varies but is about 6-7 hours.  Students can choose an all day class or two classes to complete the painting.  I suggest the full day so you can get it done.   

Tuition:  3 hours $ 60;  6 hours $ 120  per person

Bring a friend discount of $10 off one person's tuition.

Easy:  Cougar, Buck, Dolphin, Giraffe, Lion

Medium:  Swan, Jaguar, Squirrel, Elephant, Tree Frog

Hard:  Tiger, Eagle, Wolf, Racoon, Owl,
